KCB in recent years under head coach Japheth Munala finished as runner-up in 2021 and 2022.
The defending champions under Paul Gitau were quick off the blocks as they took the first set 25-18, but KCB, had to depend on the impressive Juliana Namutira to take the second set 25-19.
The third set was dominated by KCB from the start, and despite Pipeline’s efforts to come close - 20-23 - late on, the bankers held to take the set 25-21, setting up a fiery fourth set that KCB took 25-21.
In the men’s final, Kenya Prisons claimed the men’s Kenya Volleyball Federation title after defeating the defending champions General Service Unit (GSU) 3-2 at the same venue.
The scores then, and in a match also played at the Kasarani Gymnasium were: 25-20, 25-21, 22-25, 28-30 and 15-10.
